This week we had a few problems at TBL: the fish did not want to bite so much in this heat wave and the internet was down.  But the end of the week turned out to be great for one of our customers. Elaine Schwenk PA actually did good on her two week stay, but nothing had prepared her for the ending . Elaine actually caught, on her last two days,  5 Northern Pike over 40 inches, one being 44.5 inches and 26.75 pounds. Never did we see the same person,  in only two days, catch 5 trophy pike like that.  We did notice in the last 5 or 6 years that our customers were catching a lot more pike and much bigger ones. I guess this is due to the catch and release that most of our custumers do on Pike , Bass and Lake Trout . When Elaine and her friend Pete were asked where they caught them , right away they told us exactly where ( on the lips ).  They also said that they hoped that this would help our customers catch some of these monster pike themselves. A far more serious thing,  we are having a big problem with our email.  We cannot receive or send anything at all and this will go on at least until tuesday the 7th because it is a holiday up here and nobody works until then .We have finally finished our new fish fry area. It will be ready for the 2011 season.

Customer comment :  Kent Lingenfelter NY said this place far exceeded his expectations.  Pete Riffle PA had a terrific vacation and thanked us for all our help.  He has fished and hunted all over the States and has found nothing to compare with TBL.  He will be back this fall for 2 weeks of moose hunting.  John Parkinson NJ told us that he enjoyed spending time with his family outside on the fantastic new deck on cabin 5.
