A multitude of beaver dams, creeks and swamps afford
us an ideal territory for moose hunting. Dirt roads, trails, and boating
over Lake Kipawa gives us access to some of the most secluded areas in the
region. Moose Hunting in the Fall is a wonderful way to end the
season at Taggart Bay Lodge. Autumn is a beautiful time of year in
this northern region. Lodge owner Yves is an avid hunter himself and
will assist you in every possible way to ensure a rewarding hunting
experience in this wilderness setting of marshes, feeder streams, and
small lakes adjoining Kipawa.
Seasons
2007 Season - divided into two
parts:
- Bow hunting from September 16 to
October 1
- Gun hunting from October 7 to October
22
- Please note:
these dates may change - call us!
Vehicles
Four wheel drive vehicles are not needed. Whatever
vehicle you bring, keep in mind moose average 1000 pounds, so be
prepared to carry a lot of extra weight back with you. In the last
few years a lot of our customers brought ATVs which proved to be a good way to get to
some of the most remote hunting areas. We will drop hunters off where needed.
Moose Hunting is now available
in two different packages!
