This week at TBL we had our yearly Smallmouth Bass contest and it was again a great success . Many many of our customers entered the contest that was a 3 day contest again this year and the biggest Bass was caught by Rich Dyer from NJ . His Bass was 20 1/2 inches and was caught on a 1/8 of an once wobble jig . Some of our customers doing catch and release with artificial worms did fantastic on Small Mouth , catching them by hundreds. One of those bass caught after the contest was over 21 inches and it was caught by Cam Young . Walleyes were very good also with some of the guys caching a lot of them even in the middle of the day . The biggest one was a 29 inches 9 lbs caught by Jim Raback from PA . One huge Northen Pike was caught this week at the lodge. It was 44 1/2 inches and 25 lbs . That pike was caught by Paul Sant ‘ Ambrogio NJ a first time customer . We did not have any Lake Trout Fisherman that fished that much this pas t week. Some were caught but not any very big . We had one of our biggest picnics with 48 persons attending and everybody was very happy with the picnic as usual . We had a lot of regular customers at the lodge this week and a few first time customers that said that they have been at many lodges before and they had never seen a lodge with packages that offer so much for so little money . They also said that it is the first place that they got that much free service like the picnic , fishing seminar , remote lake etc … Our bookings for 2015 are going very well at this point so please make sure your spot is reserved for next year .
