Dear Customers and Friends
This week at TBL we had cold weather followed by warm weather and rain. Our very late spring kept on affecting us and our fishing. Lucky that this coming week is supposed to get warmer and nicer. At the end of this week we had some customers doing good on walleye and some that did ok on pike. The biggest pike caught this week was a 42 inches, it was released in the same bay it was caught. The biggest walleye was a 25 inches caught by Phylys right here in our bay which is one of the best bay for walleyes as usual. Many of our customers that were fishing the bay for pike told us that they caught and released many bass by mistake while fishing for great northern. The season will be fantastic for them again. Lake trout wise nothing was caught worth talking about. June should as usual bring much better fishing.
On other news one of our regular customer and friends ( Bob ) spent all week challenging everybody with is boat saying he was the fastess of them all. Bob is in his 80 but still act like he is in his teen. Way to go Bob !!! The only difference now is that he races with his boat instead of his car!!!
Bear hunting was very good again even if we have to still fight the weather and late spring. Our experience and the hard work of our guides gave us very good result again with 17 bears out of 21 hunters. On that we had 4 big bear and 2 very big the rest of them were regular size or a little under the normal. We see that the late spring is making all the bear a little slower so there is a little less choice than usual on the bait. Even with that harder week we still had 17 bears killed and 7 more that were shot at. Only one hunter last week did not see a bear.
Again this week, we had customers that drove too far north to our house instead of driving to the camp. Please do not drive to our ”MAILING ADRESS” follow the indications to get to the lodge we sent you. on the HOW TO GET THERE sheet. or drive to the very small village of Laniel, QC where the camp is. Again DO NOT DRIVE TO OUR MAILING ADRESS. The lodge is on Chemin de la Baie des plongeurs road in Laniel, Qc.
Thanks
Yves
